Sanchez is Highest Paid Jet EVER


The New York Jets and their rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez (the second QB to be drafted in ‘09 behind Stafford at #1) agreed to terms on a 5-year $50.5 million contract with around $28 million guaranteed.


Here are some previous “2nd drafted QBs” dating back to 2005 and their respective contracts:
2008 – Joe Flacco (5-year, $11.9 million)
2007 – Brady Quinn (5-year, $9.25 million)
2006 – Matt Leinart (6-year, $50.8 million)
2005 – Aaron Rodgers (6-year, $65 million)
